Robert E. Lee

Producer / Engineer / Writer / Session Keyboardist

At an early age Robert E. Lee IV began to show interest in music. He started taking piano lessons at the age of six, and by twelve years old, he regularly participated in classical competitions. Robert later began attending the Interlochen Center of the Arts summer program -but, it was not until high school that Robert discovered his true musical passion: record production and music composition.

After high school, Robert went on to study piano performance in contemporary genres and audio engineering at the prestigious Musicians Institute (MI) in Hollywood, CA. During his time at MI, Darryl Swann, engineer and producer of Macy Gray, mentored Robert and helped him develop his "flair" in the studio.

Since that time, Robert has produced, collaborated, and played keyboards on projects with artists such as New Zealand's award winning vocalist, Aaradhna, multi-platinum recording artist, Brooke Valentine, renowned R&B/Hip-Hop producer, G-1 (916 Music Productions), and film composer and former drummer for Ours, Kirke Jan Blankenship (AcademyCurve).

Robert's engineering and production resume is equally impressive and includes doing session work in studios such as Eastwest (formerly known as Cello Studios), Paramount/Ameraycan, and Subliminal Entertainment, Inc.

Robert is based out of Los Angeles. When he is not touring as a background vocalist and keyboardist for KC & the Sunshine Band, you can find him producing music, and composing music for television and film.
